Of course that doesn't mean that a sojourn through Belgorad is off the table or that bases in Rostov are unacceptable targets.

Nah. This is not Iraq. And Iraq is the last war in a 100 years that is suspect for an American “invasion”. Even if Iraq was unjustified America still was not as evil as Russia in the execution of the war. Russians have been orcs/savages long before February of 2022; just now the world gets to see how despicable their culture and government really is.

When you talk about the culture of savages with corrupt government you cannot separate the two countries. Ukraine and Russian people are the same. Many Ukrainians in rural areas can’t even speak the Ukrainian language. They feel more Russian than Ukrainian. Their governments worked together with regard to corruption.

Russia being ruthless is not News to too many people. And when it comes to war we’ve seen inhumane brutality with random countries. Because Germany was so heinous and apparently not alone in their antisemitism it gave Japan some room to hide their own brutality. Russia doesn’t stand alone in terms of war. Ukraine needs to negotiate. Who are we to tell other countries to have family members killed or maimed ? I hope they end it soon.

You disagreeing is not an issue. The issue is that people like you constantly repeat Russian propaganda talking points. It's tiresome. You're not being a critical, original thinker. You're just parroting the lies the Russian government is spreading through social media.

But it's not like there's only one set of talking points in this space, is it? Ukraine has its own propaganda machine and it is churning out material nonstop. There's no much original thought there either. Everyone is parroting someone.

I understand that Ukraine is churning out propaganda, but I also understand, because I'm not an idiot, that there's no "two sides" to this conflict. Anyone who thinks there is, is falling for Russian propaganda that is intended to break the resolve of the US and our allies to support an (imperfect) democracy in a war of national survival. Maybe we've gotten used to ambiguous wars, because the US has fought in so many of them. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is not one of them.

I have to wonder what someone is thinking if they look at this conflict and conclude that somehow Ukraine is more than 5% responsible for the war. And that Russia has some legitimate points.

There are literal buildings filled with paid trolls who either seek to distract or do a firehose of propaganda in forums where the topic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine is being discussed, so the topic ends and posters just give up talking.
