We all have expectations for our children but some just go too far...
That's so sad!!!!

Horrible! Bruises on a child who is afraid of water and who hid in the closet. Punishment for not saying her letters. Adults holding her down. Father acting like he did not do anything wrong. I hope the family gets the help they need.

Screw them--I hope the child gets the family she needs--as in, another one.

Wonder if Dick Cheney would claim it is not torture for a 4 year old...

Wonder where her mom is. Abusive SOB, hope that is the last time he ever lays eyes on that poor little girl.

Yet another reason we need comprehensive psychiatric support services for military personnel.

I bet this guy had problems long before being a soldier.
This poor child really got a raw deal in the parent lottery.

WTF!!!!!??? And I agree with the PP who made the point that quality psychiatric care should be more readily available to people in the military.

OMG. I didn't click on the link because i don't think I could bear to read it.

That is just sick. That man needs to be put away. So sad for the child...I have a hard time reading about these things. Why is it that some kids just get the shaft in life? So unfair....

He may have had problems before going into the military, you're right, but the other poster was right there needs to be more support for the military. These men and women come home, take a little leave, and are just told to move on to the next job. There isn't much support for them while there or when they come home.

What drives someone to just go and kill people in other countries anyway? I guess you have to have a problem right from the beginning.

Are you daring to compare people in our military who defend YOU and our country to this maniac in the news? I have a brother over in Iraq right now and to think he's risking his life for an ungrateful SOB as yourself makes me sick to my stomach.

I didn't ask anybody to go there and fight! He's not defending me. He's making me sad to know that his relatives are here, missing him while he's there hurting other people.
Saving the proportions I think that war is like hitting your children to teach them to stop hitting, or biting your dog to make them stop biting. It just doesn't work!

And what drives people to insinuate that every member of the military is as sick as the waterboarding father? You must have some kind of problem yourself.
