Moving to SF

Anonymous
Hi, we will be moving to SF this year, Presido Hieghts most likely. What are some private HS/middle/elem schools in the area? We are also open to boarding, what boarding schools do SF kids go too? We are also opeb to other areas of SF, but would like to stay in city and someone near Presido Hieghts. Thanks!

Boarding is really unusual in California. People don't even do overnight summer camps like they do on the east coast. I grew up in California; if people go to overnight summer camps at all (and it's not nearly as common), it tends to be only starting around age 13 and then only for a week or so.

There are a few good boarding schools (Stevenson in Monterey, Cate School in Carpenteria). However they have a high percentage of international students.

Even the most wealthy and powerful can’t avoid the needles and feces on the street.

Haha, people eyeing boarding schools aren’t walking around like some Mayberry hayseed going ‘oh so walkable’

Blah blah blah. You say the same thing in every post that mentions SF.

It's the most beautiful city in the country. You've got money? You're going to live very, very well.

You can't google which private schools are in the city yourself?

Locally Woodside Priory, the Athenian School, Santa Catalina. I know families who have been happy with each of those. Great experiences.

Thacher, Cate are in Ojai and Santa Barbara I think. Love the Thacher horse program! But it is a really small school.

All these schools are very different from each other so will appeal to different kids.
