| I'm tempted to buy a 15-year-old car because I had nothing but good memories about it. |
|
Not clear what you mean. Also can't recall my first car.
Oh yes, now I remember. I was so glad to get rid of it. |
|
Oh, how I loved stopping every 10 miles to pour water in the radiator of my first car.
Not pining after it. LOL. |
| I got over my first car the moment it broke down on a highway off ramp in a largely deserted area around midnight when I was in college. Got over it real quick. |

Yeah, OP is a nut. I would image most people's first car was a cheap (or old, or both) POS.
Maybe the more interesting question is whether people have cars from their past that they loved so much they think about getting it again (either that exact car or the newer model). My third car was a BMW 3 series and I do pine after that quite a bit. It was an amazing car to drive and I loved it for 100,000 miles. But that was a hand-me-down and I can't afford a BMW now. |

I still have my first car. It's a 15 year old Toyota Corolla DH and I bought when our son was born. Cosmetically the worse for wear, but still mechanically reliable. |
|
My first car was my grandfather's old shit heap. A white sedan that was caked in dust.
I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. |
| My first car was a toyota camry and I got over it the minute I got a job and could buy a real car. |

My first car was a 1963 Dodge Dart GT Convertible. Bought it senior year HS with 159,000 on odometer. Ran like a top. Owner gave me all receipts. Most amazing part of all guy changed his own oil and had a tire mount thing. He never once took it to a mechanic not even for oil change. Most expensive repair was $20 bucks in 17 years of receipts.
They were pretty rare even in 1980 and today last I heard 8 are in existence in the world. The body style was short lived. |
| My first car was a bright yellow 1972 VW Beetle. I loved that car. And I got stranded on the highway the night of my college graduation when it broke down. I finally got rid of it about six months after I started working. It wasn't reliable and I wasn't skilled enough to keep up the constant maintenance it required. My dream is to buy an old Beetle as my fun, weekend car. |
|
OP your not alone. My first car was an 85 Honda.
Drive that car for 225k miles. Lots of good memories. I see them on eBay. Low mileage western states. I want one again. Just for fun. |
| No. I still miss my Jenna, the only car I've ever named. |
| My first car was a Porsche. It was probably a mistake. But I loved that thing and would kill to get that back. Eventually, I turned it into a very quick race car. |
| I loved my sturdy little 2006 Corolla, but I’m not going to buy another one. I would consider a 2020 Camry, though. |
| I’m yes. My first cars were pieces of junk. Good riddance. |
