Yes, my first car was pretty junky. After college I gave it to my younger sibling and parents bought me a new one, never looked back.

My first car was a 1990 Ford Tempo with the windows permanently stuck down so every time it rained, the inside of the car got wet. The gas gauge also didn't work so I had to keep track of mileage and when I had last filled up. Yes, I think I've very much gotten over my first car.
