I have a 3 year old and a 10 month old and I’m pregnant with a third. We decided two was the our max and then we accidentally got pregnant. I’m happy but kind of freaking out. Anyone can relate? Please share your story.

The mini pill should come off the market. I know so many stories like this...

Yes, I'm currently pregnant with a surprise 3rd. I'd guess it happens to many of us.

Why do you do this. Why. All birth control has a failure rate, and over time, it's actually extremely likely any given person will have one accidental pregnancy. Educate yourself.

+1 I had a surprise pregnancy while nursing in the mini-pill and no period. I would never recommend the mini-pill if you are 100% opposed to another child.

This happened to a friend. Her oldest two are in college and her youngest just started 7th grade. He's adorable and cherished by the family. Shit happens. Babies happen.

DP poster, but this is kind of ironic on this board. Everyone seems to Be a scientist and has examined every meta analysis about breastfeeding vs. Formula, scrutinized the numbers to .001% tolerances, but seem surprised when a birth control method with a 9% failure rate fails.

I know, right? Under any other circumstance, if you were told your child had a 9% chance of anything you'd be on here debating, discussing, seeking advice. But no hesitation if told you have a 9% chance of conception?

(royal "you" here, OP -- not meaning to knock you specifically. In fact, I could have easily found myself in your shoes and been called a hypocrite myself).

The problem is There's no great bc. Not using condoms sorry. Estrogen pills make me ill. IUDs creep me out because everyone I know had complications. Injections make you fat.

I tell my husband if he doesn't want more kids we can't have sex. Fortunately we want a big family

Surprise baby in our family is so loved and cherished. I cried when I found out, as it was a huge shock. Can't imagine life without her, she's 6 now.

Anytime you have unprotected sex, you can get pregnant! Obviously, you didn't use enough protection. Now would be a good time for your DH to get snipped.
