| I’m so surprised she’s been able to stay away this long. Do you all think she will ever return and grace us once again with photos of her in odd poses at the steps of THE Juilliard School? |
|
The woman was squishing 5 kids in that tiny apartment. So no.
|
| I think that when things settle down re: Coronavirus/restrictions and the protests, they’ll be back. Might take a year or so though. Her whole gimmick was living in NYC. It’s not going to work nearly as well if she decamps for some big Mormon rural exurb area across the country. |
| They bought a house so it seems unlikely. Her kids look a lot happier. She started combing her hair and putting on lipstick like the way she did back in DC, so maybe they found their place. |
| They sold their OMGNYC apartment and bought a house, a bunch of chickens, and rabbits in Arizona, so probably not. Although, considering their track record with pets, maybe they'll rehome the animals in a year or so in order to try and revamp their brand (again). |
|
I think they'll try to rebrand as some sort of homesteading farm family, but it won't really work and they'll lose engagement. Then they'll try to head back to NYC. I hope they don't though. Their setup in NYC was not great and she seemed INCREDIBLY stressed by it. Especially as those kids grow older, cramming everyone into a 2 bedroom apartment would be miserable. They're going to get used to having all of this space, it would be a very hard re-adjustment for those kids.
Kind of funny she is doing the same kind of rebranding now as her nemesis who she made fun of, Natalie Jean. |
They didn't own their NYC apartment. |
| She’s a sell out who really couldn’t afford all those kids in NYC. I hope her rebrand crashes and burns miserably. |
I only slightly follow these people, tea on her and Natalie Jean not getting along? Did they know each other IRL or was it all Internet beef? |
|
I think she is hating her new life in Arizona.
I was shocked that Josh had to get a "real job" so soon after they left NY. Not that long ago, they went on Rachel Hollis's podcast in which they said his talents were being wasted on an office job. I was also surprised that it turned out they didn't own their apartment. I thought they were making a LOT more money than they must have been. |
YES totally true. It didn't work for her either. She eventually had to give up and get a real job. Moms in the flyover states tune into Taza's feed to see glimpses of a charmed, big city life. They don't need to see the same suburban images, chock full of kids and animals, that they can see in their real lives. |
PP here. You're right. They did a bunch of stuff to it, though, and then moved out abruptly. I really doubt they'll move back to an area where rent is $7k/month for a two bedroom when it's obvious their brand is struggling. |
I don't think the details are very clear, but they did know each other IRL and whatever went down, Naomi froze her out of the Mormon Mommy Brigade. Natalie stopped going to the same church the Tazas attended. Then at some point after Natalie left NYC and was back in Idaho, Naomi posted some picture of herself against a wall (Natalie did a lot of fashion shots against her garage) and captioned it with something about how stupid she felt, which was seen as a diss against Natalie. I think Naomi is a real mean girl. |
+1. This is my understanding, as well. Natalie wised up and left the church around the same time as Courtney Kendrick. Her life went to shit, but at least she was honest about it. Around the same time, Amber Clark (who also lived in NYC) really got her brand up and running, and Naomi glommed on to her. Amber and the Skalla girls figured out that spacious southwest homes, bikinis, and sundresses get a lot more clicks than moms with five kids and an unemployed husband crammed into a city apartment and took their brands in that direction. Taza stuck with reviewing gelato and pizza in NYC and trying to sell luggage at Target until the pandemic hit, and then hoofed it out West to join the others, and hoped no one would compare her to Natalie. |
| What a waste of a Juilliard education. Her blog would be somewhat interesting if she opened her own dance studio and focused on her and not pimping her kids out for ice cream and cupcakes. |
