Taza? Are they ever coming back to NYC?

I hope they don't though. Their setup in NYC was not great and she seemed INCREDIBLY stressed by it. Especially as those kids grow older, cramming everyone into a 2 bedroom apartment would be miserable. They're going to get used to having all of this space, it would be a very hard re-adjustment for those kids.

Kind of funny she is doing the same kind of rebranding now as her nemesis who she made fun of, Natalie Jean.

I only slightly follow these people, tea on her and Natalie Jean not getting along? Did they know each other IRL or was it all Internet beef?

I don't think the details are very clear, but they did know each other IRL and whatever went down, Naomi froze her out of the Mormon Mommy Brigade. Natalie stopped going to the same church the Tazas attended. Then at some point after Natalie left NYC and was back in Idaho, Naomi posted some picture of herself against a wall (Natalie did a lot of fashion shots against her garage) and captioned it with something about how stupid she felt, which was seen as a diss against Natalie. I think Naomi is a real mean girl.

+1. This is my understanding, as well. Natalie wised up and left the church around the same time as Courtney Kendrick. Her life went to shit, but at least she was honest about it. Around the same time, Amber Clark (who also lived in NYC) really got her brand up and running, and Naomi glommed on to her. Amber and the Skalla girls figured out that spacious southwest homes, bikinis, and sundresses get a lot more clicks than moms with five kids and an unemployed husband crammed into a city apartment and took their brands in that direction. Taza stuck with reviewing gelato and pizza in NYC and trying to sell luggage at Target until the pandemic hit, and then hoofed it out West to join the others, and hoped no one would compare her to Natalie.

Ugh the Skallas. They annoy me on a visceral level.

Thanks PP! Never knew there was so much Mormon mama drama in NYC, lol.

To me she sums up all the cringy transplants from nowhere who try to come to major east coast cities as a substitute for developing a real personality. The sooner we can sort the wheat from the chaff and get em out, the better.

YES totally true. It didn't work for her either. She eventually had to give up and get a real job.

Moms in the flyover states tune into Taza's feed to see glimpses of a charmed, big city life. They don't need to see the same suburban images, chock full of kids and animals, that they can see in their real lives.

This, exactly. NYC was their whole shtick and made for good content. (OK, not content that I necessarily considered good, but I can see how the whole raising-a-wholesome-family-in-a-huge-city would be aspirational/intriguing/envy-inducing for a lot of people.) But now? Besides their larger than average family, what exactly do they have that's interesting to anyone?!

(I'll admit that I do still follow her on Instagram, and her kids seem SO happy with their new set-up in Arizona, so for their sake, I hope that they stay there. While their apartment was huge by Manhattan standards, I don't think it was workable at all in the long term.)

Agreed. Although, she can't do this because her whole brand was breezing around NYC with her "littles", co-parenting with Josh, and not holding an actual job with set hours. It would be a lot less aspirational if she had to actually get a job and admit she had a nanny or babysitter. Ballerina Farm has already moved in on the market of Juilliard-trained Mormon mommy ballerinas opening homegrown businesses (even though BF was bought with JetBlue money, but still).

And "He, Columbia" over there with a Columbia education and a job in finance quits to run the blog. What a waste! And seriously, what's the game plan here? What does he see for himself in 20 years? Are they just going to keep popping out kids for fresh content? Even this "new job" is rumored to be helping Amber Fillerup with her blog and business. That's a damn thin resume.

If he was a real man he would have kept that finance job and let her make money from the blog on the side. But he's an attention whore and anyone familiar with them could tell. He was desperate to be more of a "star" of the blog and so he quit his (lucrative) job for some blog attention. It's sad. Now it's backfired

Never marry a narcissistic man. Although Taza is narcissistic too and that's how she stood him, so I guess two peas in a pod

I just wish she would post more content on her Arizona life. I feel frozen out.

I wonder if she’s still working on her book.

Supposedly, she is but she is going to have to really spin this move. No one wants to hear glossy stories of NYC in 2021 when it is supposed to be published. The cover looks like some self published hot garbage.

Did you know she went to Juilliard?

Re-opening an old thread. Did anyone ever figure out what happened with this family and blog? After living life on the internet for the better part of a decade, being the primary income earner for their large family, she just...vanished. What happened?

Bumping because I had completely forgotten about her but now am curious what she's been up to lately.

I spend some time on Blogsnark on Reddit and truly no one knows. It's bizarre.

Thanks! Not super invested but did bump into them occasionally in DC when they had their first and was kind of shocked by their online presence then even when Josh had a job. Seems like it only catapulted since then and then there was nothing. Kind if weird to be living off if #ads and #sponcon and go radio silent.
