and thought I would share

| Lucky you! I want a pair so bad...Maybe for Mother's Day. |
| Love mine too - - very good purchase. |

Are those the fancy welly boots I keep seeing grown women wearing all over the place?
Post a pic so we can see. |
| curious, how are they different from run of the mill rain boots? why do you love them? how do they do in snow? |
| Great in snow, they have heels and tread on the bottoms. Better than Uggs b/c they stay dry. Put some warm socks on underneath and you are set for snow and slush. |
| Boots are fine except they don't breathe. Be prepared for sweaty feet and legs. Cotton socks best! |
| They're the best - love how dry my feet stay in the worst conditions. Smart wool socks underneath do a lot to keep your feet cozy w/o getting sweaty. |
| I liked them a few years ago. I feel like they are bit everywhere ala tory burch ballet flats the last few years. |
| the fleece welly socks are the best with the boots |
But they're classic - the royal family still wears them! (And I certainly don't think of any of them, save the young generation, as fashionable.) My DH jokes that I'm heading out to the heath every time I put them on. |
| Can someone please explain, without snark, the advantages of these $115 rubber boots with a slight heel over my $17 walmart rubber boots with a slight heel? |

Here's some interesting history on the boot:
http://usa.hunter-boot.com/23/Hunter-Life/The-Hunter-Story/The-Hunter-Story.aspx I think the advantage comes from it being designed orthopedically on a last. So not only are they completely waterproof and warm (from the lining), they are quite comfortable to wear for extended periods and in a wide variety of conditions and a broad range of surfaces. They're great for hiking and I find that most cheap rubber boots aren't sufficiently sturdy for that. |
| and I am all for saving as well but they are very chic |
| I just think they used to be chic and now they are really overdone. |
