loving my new hunter rain boots

They are welly boots for heaven's sake, how can they be "overdone?" On the other hand, I do't see them as particularly chic. They are quality, functional pieces.

How do the sizes run? I have only seen them online and want to avoid a return, I am usually a sz 7

All the college students in my neighborhood are wearing them now, which makes mommies wearing them look a little silly. So I agree completely. Even high school girls wear them. So that's when I know it's time to give mine away!

They have been a savior in this snow. They are the only boots I have that are as tall as the snow. My old LL Beans would not have stood a chance.

It's Hunter Boots, Tory Burch flats, Northface jackets, and Burberry quilted coats. All fine on their own, but when you see the same look over and over on highschool, college, and 30plus moms it gets old.

unlike the other fashionable moms in their faded high waist pleated jeans with clogs and "mom do" Quit bashingothers for being in style and stick to your mock turtlenecks. Just because you are a mommy - you do not have to look like "mom"

I just ordered le chameau rubber boots and cannot wait for them to get here. I am tired of my feet being wet all the time! Hope the size fits.

I am the one that does not find them to be chic. And I hardly dress like you described. But yes, to each her own. I just don't like the uniform look among many moms.

I like the le chameau boots. They look similar to the Hunter boots. But since not everyone has them, I am inclined to like them better not trying to be snobby, I just like to see some variety!

If you are REALLY cute and wear funky Anthropologie dresses with hunter boots and have great legs, then I might call the look chic.

** snark alert **

Now I know why I am not fashionable. I have snow boots for the snow and hiking boots for hiking. Who knew?

PP, which size do you have? does it run exact, larger or small? i'm 7.5 and ordered half size down based on their website.

This has devolved into ridiculousness. Really. Le Chameau boots are the same price and look nearly interchangeable. If you saw someone walking down the street in Hunters or Le Chameaus, they'd register as tall rubber rain boots; if you want to be "different," you need to stay away from that style altogether. But the idea that one brand versus the other makes you more or less conformist is lunacy.
