What are the chances its Covid? runny nose, mild cough, vomiting, and low grade fever. Pediatrician’s office opens in the morning so will get tested. Wondering if there are any other viruses and bugs circulating that they are likely to have caught?

There are always other viruses circulating. Most likely not Covid but good you are getting them tested. How do you feel?

Sorry, OP. Hope they feel better soon.

Most childhood colds and viruses are being suppressed because of no school, camp, daycare and parents enforcing social distancing guidelines ... it depends on what you all have been doing lately.

I agree. Probably something else, but definitely check with the pediatrician just in case.

Have you been social distancing, wearing masks and washing their hands?

Whether it’s Covid or not, this pit in your stomach you’re feeling is why school is not going to work. It’s a horrible feeling, parents won’t be able to deal.

Use nasal spray and salty water to rinse, it won’t cure without doctor’s treatment but it helps to treat common cold and make sore throat feel better in a natural way, hope your kids will all get well soon,

Until you get the test results behave as if you all have it.

How much vomiting? Like stomach flu?

If yes, then chances are... it's just stomach flu.

It could be covid but my children had these symptoms a couple weeks ago , though, minus the vomiting. We made an appointment at an urgent care thinking they had Covid and they tested for Strep,Flu, and Covid. The first two were negative in the office so we thought for sure they had it and the doctor told us to act as if they were positive but when we got the results 3-4 days later it was negative. So other viruses are still going around that they could get but it was scary given the precautions we take for covid for them to pick up anything.

Are these questions helpful? No one is living in a bunker these days. You can get infected even when you are being careful. Have some empathy. The poor mom/dad has both kids sick.

No, I disagree. I think it’s a valid question. If your child is vomiting and you have been completely quarantined, it’s food poisoning and not a virus (most likely). It’s not a shaming question as many of us have to use daycare but a diagnostic one.
