Meeting up with in-laws at beach.
B-I-l was going to bring game systems. We said please no game systems - let’s play games, visit - boys can manage a week without video games. Sooo.. what should I pack for this trip? What is a games have teenage boys found most fun? Also pool & beach friendly games. Like bocce is a space hog for the car but would bring if playing on beach works. How about fun/fast/interesting card games. Sadly, Ticket to Ride has been collecting dust (so nothing real complicate) Thanks in advance |

| Hedbanz is hilarious, especially with teenagers, and you could probably make your own version with index cards and just don't let the one person see what the card says. Though making everyone wear the dumb headbands is fun, too. |
Last Christmas my sister brought over Forbidden Island and we all enjoyed it, including my teenage nieces. It's cooperative so all the players are working together against the game, which I liked. Also it was not too hard (I say this as someone who has a terrible time with DH's favorite game, The Settlers of Catan).
Now, if you want to combine simple with video game, we also found playing "The Oregon Trail" board game hilarious and enjoyed all the crazy deaths. |
