The other thread got me thinking about places we used to go we really liked that are gone
DavidCraig was the best fine dining I’ve ever had in Bethesda Fresh Grill had the best burgers (had to close when the builders of the new apt building next door damaged the foundation of their building) Freddy’s Lobster and Clams was the best place for New Englander to get a beach seafood fix. Also a tip to Le Vieux Logis which was old school French but did it well and just closed. |
| Ricky's Rice Bowl |
|
I miss the Jimmy Johns that was on Bethesda Ave
Beyond that, most of the restaurants I frequent are still there or at least we’re pre-pandemic. I was sad when Brown Bag shut down for a bit but they reopened.... |

Kapnos - really liked the food
Rio Grande - when it was new and good |
| Armadillo Grill and Athena Plaka — both on Woodmont. Ten Star Fire Company on Arlington by the CVS had amazing barbeque. |
| Outback Steakhouse. Great place to take teenage boys |
| Stromboli's |
Vieux logis closed.

I miss thyme square.
I miss fu shing. |

Green Papaya and Del Ray Garden for Vietnamese food.
Ivy’s Place. |
| Yamas |
|
Grapeseed
|
| Armonds Pizza. The original location |
I was also thinking of Rio Grande, before it moved to Bethesda ave. |
| The mongolian bbq places, esp the nonchain one that used to be on Wisconsin. |
