How far back can we go? I miss Bish Thompson’s. And O’Donnell’s. And the frozen custard place that used to be near the movie theater on Wisconsin. And Moon Gate.

The first place we ever ate when we moved to the area was the crab restaurant on Norfolk and Auburn. Won’t miss that.

The second was Cafe Delux. We will miss that despite the fact it went way downhill towards the end.

Malarkey’s where Panera is now on Wisconsin Ave and Plato’s Palate — has amazing ouzo burgers.

I miss the New Orleans place that used to be behind/past where the Giant is now. I think it was on Bethesda Ave, across from Euro Motorcars.

I remember going there the first time and getting what I thought was a regular sized bowl of ingredients, and it cooked down to almost nothing! Live and learn. I made sure to have overflowing bowls from then on!

They moved to Cordell Avenue. The owner passed away and the cook took it over, but couldn't make it work and it shut down a few months ago. Now Cubanita's is there I think.

The place on teh corner of Bethesda Ave and Wisconsin (across from Starbucks). They had an outdoor terrace that was a great happy hour place in the summer.
