I'm hosting book club at my house this week and we've got several pregnant ladies in the group. I want to offer a yummy drink for them since they can't enjoy the wine and other cocktails. Does anyone have any favorite non-alcoholic cocktail recipes they can share with me?

Personally I love sparkling water or club soda with a splash of cranberry juice (and a twist of lime if we're being fancy). A festive punch would also be a good option, as would a virgin anything (daiquiri, pina colada, etc., though those may be less appealing due to the weather.)
And there was a thread on mocktails for hiding pregnancy a while ago - you could look through that for other options: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/81797.page |
When I was pregnant, I liked those Rose's mixes for martini and added seltzer water and served them in a fun glass. They have mixes for apple martini, cosmo, pear, mango, etc.
OP here. Thanks ladies. I don't like it when these drinks are too sweet but the seltzer water or club soda takes down the sweetness in the suggestions!
I usually get one of the fun mixed juices at the supermarket, Tropicana usually has things like orange-peach-mango and passionfruit-banana-strawberry. Then I have coconut rum as a mixer for those who want alcohol and club soda for those who don't.
The post had an article not too long ago about non-alcoholic drinks. I'd search their recipe finder, or write in to the cooking chat tomorrow and ask for links.
