| It will only get harder. Technology is making child rearing more difficult. |
| The 90s were amazing. I am glad to have grown up in the 80s and 90s (young Gen Xer). |
| I agree. |
|
Literally every generation in history believes this as they move into middle age.
That said I agree. So who the hell knows. |
|
There was tech in the 90s.
AOL Porn Pagers Flip phones |
Yeah, my dishwasher and clothes washer makes life a living hell! (Learn to parent better and set limits on your kids’ devices.) |
| I’m 54 and DH is 55, but we didn’t have kids until 1998. We were engaged for so long (married in 1996) but looking back we probably could’ve and should’ve had kids much earlier. Oh well! |
|
I’d add the ‘00s. The iPad wasn’t invented until 2010.
Thank god. -mom of 2004 baby |
LOL the ipad is a great distractor. I don't know why people hate technology. |

The stupid is strong with this one. The last decent decade to raise a family is when parents PARENT. So for me and my family, it's right now. In the 90s, my parents weren't great parents. |
| I remember walking into my kid’s first grade classroom (in 2008) and there was a smartboard or promethean and thinking “what the heck is that giant thing?” |
Oh, you are one of those intensive mothering types.
|
|
I was born in 90 and graduated highschool in 08. I’m not sure if I was a 90s kid or 2000s kid, but I wouldn’t want to be born after 95 or so.

I agree. I was in high school in the early 90’s and no one had cell phones much less iPhone that do everything. I have handwritten love letter from my high school boyfriend.
Really bad, big hair in middle school however. |
A giant waste of money to distract from crappy education. |
