| Does it make sense to unenroll? DL for PK3 seems like a waste of time. |
| In my opinion, distance learning for 3 and 4 year olds completely negates the purpose and benefits of Pre K. I think I might unenroll my kids and try again next year. |
|
Are you sure? We haven't gotten any confirmation from them yet.
But our daughter is prek-3 and, if its dl all year, then we will definitely pull her. If it's a wait and see we might give it a try with the hope that they will open in winter. |
| What is your alternative, OP? |
| Yes unenroll. Waste of money. |
For who? |
There is no way any school will be open in winter for in person learning. |
NP. Yes, for sure. Check email.DL for the first quarter at least. |
| If you unenroll for PK3, you lose your spot for PK4. DL May be worthless, but I would at least do what I need to hold the spot for (hopefully!) later in the year and next year. |
Not OP, but I plan to invest in some learning apps, Bob books, go to the zoo, the Playseum, the playground, and teach my kids as much as I can. I might even look into a private, half-day preschool. Pre K is not mandatory and I'm not interested in dealing with schools taking attendance or begging my kids to pay attention to like I did in the spring. |
| DL is bogus, but you aren’t paying for it, and if they reopen and you feel comfortable sending DC, you’ll have a spot. |
| Yes, unenroll. DL for preschool kids just doesns't work no matter how hard the teacher tries to engage them. Their brains just aren't wired for it yet. |
| how can the justify DL for a ECE-only school?! That's nuts. |
$$$ - they want that per-pupil allocation! |
Because it’s not safe. What’s nits is where this thread is going. |
