Prek 4 parent here. Some schooling is better than nothing. I would keep them enrolled and do those add'l activities after to keep them occupied. I want my son to be on track and I will help at home and on the weekends for what prek 4 needs to learn. If my son can sit and watch paw patrol, he's going to sit and watch his teacher and classmates. Sucks, but these are the times were in. Maybe they'll open in the spring, but they won't be opening during flu season for sure.

Then you'll have to do the lottery allll over again if you withdraw. You may not be as lucky next year. Some people don't get spots at all or all 12 of their spots they're in the 3 digits on the waitlist.

I would perhaps give it a shot if there was a parent who stayed at home or we had a nanny, but we have neither, so I don't really see this as viable. We will likely stick with our daycare.

I would be open to doing some of the distance learning on the weekend. Not sure if we should unenroll as I'd like to keep a spot if they resume in-person instruction?
