Seriously agree.

Very seriously agree. Dems have seriously gone too far. They’re unamerican and scary AF.

Nope. The GOP is a criminal org.

But I think I’m going to start teaching that what really matters is always winning and always being right. Be the best, best everyone else, you’re always right and never wrong. Hold her down, she doesn’t matter, forget it ever happened, grow up and compete and be better than everyone, so you alone can win. I mean, right?

No please don’t do that. There are enough of the latter in our world. I always taught my DS, as you do. He is a teen and incredibly kind, compassionate and a gentleman. He followed this hearing and finally Collins explanation. Like me, he feels numb & indifferent. He feels there is validity from sides. I now need to help guide him on being less impressionable in this culture, to do the work, understand the facts, listen to all sides and most importantly to his heart.

Who are the male role models for teen boys and young men if it isn't the President of the United States and the men who sit on the highest court in the land?

Trump, GOP Senate & Kavanaugh all complicit in this

THIS

Dems can’t admit they are losing elections because of their candidates, ideas, and agenda. Sad.

Gerrymandering. Throwing voters off the rolls. Treason. You cannot win without cheating. And you know it.

Sweet delusion. Mother, teacher, secret lover.

Leave it to the GOP to bat halfway to home plate and assume they’ve won legitimately.

Huh?

George Clooney and LeBron right off the top of my head. Most young men in this country couldn't tell you how many people are on the SC, much less their names.

+100
These are the people who have the most influence over our youth. Not our musicians. Not the Hollywood crowd. Not athletes. Not politicians.

Don’t question the intellect just pretend “bat” is the correct term instead of “hit a double.”

Ivy I presume?

No one has said that Kavanaugh should be jailed over sexual assault allegations that can’t be proven. Try to catch up.

But otherwise convicted in the court of public opinion and ruined. How fair.

I hardly think Kavanaugh's life is "ruined." He's going to be on the Supreme Court. He'll have the power to exact vengeance on those whom he thinks wronged him. I hardly call that "ruin."

Anonymous wrote:Susan Collins states on the Senate floor that "over the past week, many women have shared their stories of sexual assault"...

and then she said VERBATIM:

"I will do everything in my power to ensure that their daughters and granddaughters never share the same stories."

Well, she's certainly doing that. After today, no woman will come forward and share her story of sexual assault unless it was videotaped in front of a a couple hundred witnesses and happened while she was stone cold sober and screaming for dear life.

Although, even then, we can never be truly sure...

Yes, this was the part of her speech that was weird to me. Why would you say you wouldn't want women to share their stories of sexual assault? This was an oversight by her speechwriter for sure. I'm sure that isn't what Collins was trying to say, but man, it could have been written much more elegantly. Really shows lack of sensitivity. Speaking up and sharing stories by women who have suffered assault is the whole fricken point of the MeToo movement, right. Or am I just in a twilight zone here?

You are being unintentionally obtuse. Put the quote in context and Collins meant that there would be no more sexual abuse against females, so no stories to tell.

What I object to more is her leaving off sexual abuse against males. Most of the sexual abuse stories I heard lately are against boys and young (particularly gay) men.

Today a cameraman for The Real Housewives of DC brought a sexual assault charge against one of the husbands on the show.
