Authorities allege Zapeta — who federal immigration officials say is a Guatemalan citizen who entered the U.S. illegally — calmly approached the woman aboard a stationary F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station in Brooklyn on Sunday morning and set her clothing ablaze.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Jeff Carter said Zapeta is a Guatemalan citizen who entered the U.S. illegally after he had been previously deported to Guatemala in 2018. It is unclear when and where he reentered the U.S., Carter said.

Assistant District Attorney Ari Rottenberg, during Tuesday's court hearing, alleged Zapeta lit the woman’s clothing on fire and fanned the flames using a shirt.

So, who “allowed” him to stay in the country?

"Allowed" him? You think he was all registered somewhere and "allowed" to reenter legally? Good grief. Like many, he was living under the radar until now.

In other wprds, no one thought it 8mportant to monitor thevwherrabouts of thesr golks. It's howbpoor Laken Riley had no idea who was living near UGA's college campus..

How many of us know about the location of ANY criminal or potential criminal in our community?

All criminals, including those here illegally, should be monitored closely.

That includes Trump.

Keep seething, loser. Equating Trump’s trumped up “felonies” with dangerous and violent criminals who shouldn’t even be here in the first place is a reason why you lost — and hopefully will continue to lose.

DP - Trump is an adjudicated violent felon.

No, he isn't. Neither violent nor a felon. Sorry for your ignorance.

He was found liable for assault. Last time I checked, assault is violent. He is also a felon having been found guilty by a jury of his peers to have committed MULTIPLE felonies.

- in purely political show-trials which were laughably manipulated by progressive sycophants who were desperate to keep him off the ballot by fraudulent means.

No one still buys your BS lawfare.

At the time prosecutors began investigating his various crimes he wasn't even a declared candidate yet. Would prosecutors have moved forward with their cases had Trump decided to retire and play golf full time? Of course they would have. He ran to keep himself out of prison. But give the guy credit - it worked.

Tell that to the American citizen, who looked Hispanic, who was already attacked in Texas by a MAGA for "looking illegal "

A rare occurrence. Six individuals in our extended family are Hispanic. None of them has ever been arrested.

A different poster who’s just as moronic — if not more so — than the first one. No, he’s not. His “felonies” are for the hush money payment. The political persecution of Trump is another reason he got elected, so keep it up at your own peril.

Trump was ALSO found liable for the sexual assault of E. Jean Carroll in a court of law. It's more than just "hush money" and isn't mere "political persecution." There are also many other crimes that he was found guilty of.

Pull your head out of your ass. You sound like my idiot MAGA relatives who, over the holidays, I discovered they had no clue that right wing media had its ass sued off for hundreds of millions of dollars over "stop the steal" nonsense. You are CLEARLY NOT GETTING THE FULL STORY if you earnestly think Trump is a wonderful innocent man who never did anything wrong but is being persecuted over mere political differences.

I do not earnestly think he’s a wonderful innocent man who has never done anything wrong. I do think he was politically persecuted at an unprecedented scale by his political enemies who did everything — literally EVERYTHING — they could to stop him from winning the election.

Yes, not yet. Wait until the mass deportations begin.

Yes, when you run for office, your political opponents will try to do *everything* to discredit you. That's not new. Rs went after Bill Clinton for all kinds of stuff. I remember it well; I was a R back then. That's why they investigated the Clintons for Whitewater, which eventually lead to the Lewinsky thing.

I recall Trump did the same to HRC, but he couldn't actually prosecute her because there was not much to prosecute. If he could've, he would've, 100%.

Trump, oth, is a known liar and cheat. It was easy to find his illegal dealings because he's known to lie and cheat. Don't think Trump was special in that way. He just had more skeletons in his closet to air.

FYI - if you don't want every dirty laundry aired for public consumption, and possibly come into the view of law enforcement, then don't run for public office.

So all those new “no turn on red” signs in Alexandria are a tool to deport - AWESOME!!!

I really don’t care that much that republicans are investing a bunch of money into deportations; I’m very pro-government spending. What annoys me is they refuse to go after the employers who enabled this to continue, many of white voted for trump.

Here's one where an American citizen who is of pacific islander ancestry was attacked and told "this is Trump country."

Sad that Trump supporters are so hateful.
