U of Rochester

Those might be a stretch tho. Being full-pay will really help the next few years as university balance sheets recover from COVID.

I'd also add Trinity in CT. So many kids from big $$$ families attend and lots of students do well in Northeastern finance and business circles. It's a school with very strong connections to the NYC business community.

U of Rochester is highly unlikely.

Trinity in CT doesn't have a business major.

OP here - thanks to everyone for all the advice.

Any suggestions on where DS could ED to enhance his chances of getting in somewhere he otherwise would have no chance.

Let your DS apply to the schools being suggested and from the link above and add FSU if not mentioned yet. Colleges look at more than just grades and with the pandemic, full pay will be a game changer.

These are a little illusory because people who are likely to get in use their one ED shot as a nudge, anyone can throw their hat in the ring for RD.
It's more important to look at the profiles of who is accepted ED vs. RD. Often times there is no difference, but sometimes there's a slight edge for ED.

Yes.

OP, consider Ohio Wesleyan. We visited a few years ago and I was very impressed.

Allegheny (which I also liked when we visited) also has a business major:

Be careful about Ohio Wesleyan - they are having severe financial difficulties only worsened by the pandemic.
