White Lotus

In the series poster, Rachel, the new bride, is wearing a black & white striped jumpsuit reminiscent of a prisoner's uniform - what if it is a hint she killed the person that died.

Love the MIL coming to visit. Sounds right out of a DCUM post.

Oh sorry, it is the Mosssomething mother, not the newlywed, in the jump suit.

Except for Quinn making friends with the boat guys, I will be so sad if Quinn dies and I really hope he stays the hopeful hero.

Based on the preview for next week, it looks like Quinn tells one of the boat guys about the 75k bracelets and one of them breaks into the hotel room to steal them.

Can you link to the preview? I didn’t see anything in the one I watched about the boat guys.

It is a minor point but I thought it was weird that the plan for two college age girls and a teenage boy was to share the living room (pull out bed) of a suite for the entire vacation.

Ha, I thought the same, and a wealthy family like this would have a room for everyone. HOWEVER this is the plot device to ratchet up the tension! I’m enjoying all the outcomes.

I just discovered this show is by Mike White! I loved Enlightened with Laura Dern.

I also wanted to like it and don't. The music/soundtrack is so annoying it makes the show unwatchable.
This makes me realize I haven't even noticed the music. I'm going to pay attention next episode.

It’s full of unusual rhythms and vocalizations meant to make the viewer uncomfortable.

This is the theme, but what really caught my attention are the occasional sighs (ah-AHH) between scenes.

Last night I let the credits run and it sounds like a p0rn soundtrack with tons of moaning!

Yep! The soundtrack is creative and quirky. Love it.

I was expecting it to be explained as a booking error, like what happened with newlyweds, dont think it was ever addressed though.

I just finished episode three, and I am totally in love with this show! The dialogue is so smart. The characters seems very well drawn and realistic. Some of the twists and turns in the plot are charmingly executed. I could not stop laughing!

Really? I hate that I'm about to body shame but in her bikini scenes she looks like a 12 year old child. I know, I'm going to Hell.

If this is what you think a 12 year old looks like, I suggest that you reset your meter:

Is that a photo from this series? Because I do not remember her boobs being that big, but mostly I remember it as her lower body that struck me as looking very tiny. I don't really know her from other stuff.

Seriously? She’s got huge tits on a small frame, none of her bikinis fit properly in the show. I assume that’s intentional, though.

She’s a perfect 10!!

Armand trying to get even by booking the honeymooners on the boat with someone throwing her mother's ashes was beyond hysterical.

+1. I really do believe it represents a certain segment of society very accurately. Also the political discourse between those family members is interesting and sharp!

Well described! I absolutely love the music! It’s like a character in the show for me.
