HB parent here. The information about HB’s previous admission system being deemed illegal is correct as far as I have heard. The system they have now is the best they can do as an effort to achieve diversity and comply with the law. It’s not like they have not thought about this or not tried. They also do specific outreach to more diverse elementary schools.

It could be more diverse but I’m not sure how to do that. It is much more diverse than many of the elementary schools so it’s odd that people’s ire is focused on HB. But people seem to enjoy bashing HB.
