Arlington ECNL, FCV not ECNL

What's to take over? Arlington kids will stay put. It just got easier than ever to join a ECNL club and it was pretty easy already.

Not bitter, what I'm saying is your kid didn't get any better as player because of this. Her pond just got bigger and more diluted. And joining ECNL didn't and won't significantly change Arlington's current or future teams. It adds stability but their coaches are the same, their players are the same. Maybe each age group picks up a player or two but this doesn't create some seismic shift in players.

And if ECNL goes this far in NOVA then it might as well do something useful and add FCV and Beach FC and some other club to reduce travel to Virginia.

Beach FC is not ECNL level. Unfortunately, neither is ECNL. Thank USSF and GDA for causing this.

LOL! That is the point, The level is getting lower. ECNL is going to turn into a expensive CCL in Virginia.

And that’s why it won’t happen. Nova is supporting 4 ECNL and 3 GA . That’s coming to an end.

Unfortunately I hate to agree I also heard about Arlington getting ECNL. Announcement will be made mid March but you did hear it here first. This is the same person that knew Jeff cup was canceled 3 weeks before it was and other news. GAL will be making a selection to replace Arlington

BTW - for those on the thread disparaging the Beach FC that was added to ECNL, it is not the Va Beach club. The Beach FC added is from Southern CA.

First - FCV won't be added back to ECNL.
Second - FCV left ECNL for the supposed brighter lights of "DA", which has since fallen apart. They gambled and lost, but in the interim sold the club to TSJ, so assume CZ made out fine financially.

Anyhow, none of this matters in the end to most of us. Be it FCV or Loudoun or Arlington or McLean, etc. our daughters get to play competitive soccer, albeit for overpriced coaches and fees. That's the name of the game here.
