Is LCPS doing that concurrent foolishness?

Imagine being so completely out of touch and clueless and self centered as the person who can say “Black and Latinx kids and sped kids and failing kids and English learners aren’t AT ALL representative of my kids.” Jesus. I guess, what, white and Asian kids are “real students” and everyone else isn’t representative of the student body.

You are being deliberately obtuse. They are not representative of the Covid exposure rate of the general student body. The schools sent back the kids most likely to have been exposed to Covid and and now acting “shocked” that some of the are...testing positive for Covid. No $hit.

You have *no clue* what you are talking about. Yeah, my EL student from South Korea clearly cant be representative of your kid. And somehow you think all the athletes are Black and because of that they’ve all been exposed too. YOUR KIDS are just as susceptible as these kids if they go back. I cannot believe it’s people like you driving this whole stupid “reopen now” plan.

If you are so against reopening, then you should be against EL students and athletes being allowed back too. Why the double standard?

I do not support them being there either.

Both EL populations and those active in sports are far more likely to have been exposed to Covid in the first place. Sorry, it’s true.

The LCPS tracker of where cases are popping up does not support this assumption.

It’s not about geography. It’s about the fact EL students and sped are the ONLY MS and Hs students even going to school right now. It isn’t possible for it to be any other kind of student.

There are schools that have much larger populations of beginning EL students in the building right now. I’m not going to break down the demographics and geography for you, but spend some time with the school profiles.

We attend schools with a large EL population, so I’m well aware.

So are we. As to the PP who says EL students are more likely to have been exposed, that may be, but for our high-EL school there have been no students or staff quarantined thus far.

EL level 1 at all grade levels k-12

Some schools have given the green light to bring in some Gen Ed students who are failing

Student athletes practicing at school daily

So in other words, not a representative population.

In what way are they not representative? How do you think a student who doesn’t speak much English somehow transmits virus differently than a student who is fluent ? How are athletes not representatives of students who might play band or be involved in theatre but who can’t be at school and aren’t covered by VHSL to allow them? Stop being ignorant.

Do you think VHSL will pull the plug ?

Probably not although they should. I asked my students which of them were selecting hybrid and you would be shocked how many said they picked DL because if they picked hybrid they were worried they’d get sick and not be able to play sports.

I ran a google form on my classes. Total of 128 students. 68.75% of them chose hybrid. That’s a grand total of 88 kids. Go figure.

I was wondering how long it’d take for a racist loser triggered snowflake to reply... not surprised one bit it was the first one.

That being said, white students are the population with most in-person replies - statistically speaking. Good try though skippy. Try harder next time. And please don’t melt in the process.

I know you’re a troll and it’s not worth it but there are quite a few schools in Loudoun in which white students are a minority of the student body. By large numbers. Sit down.

You aren’t alone.

Concurrent is unfair to teachers, in person students, and virtual students.

I’m not quitting. Just ride the wave until the second week of June. Then chillax.

Barely any kids even picked the stupid hybrid plan. The numbers are in and show 80% of families do not want concurrent hybrid whatever mess we are calling in person school.

No it isn’t. I can see them by grade and school level.

Well you aren’t looking at our school then. Principal shared the numbers.
