How high did your blood pressure skyrocket yesterday upping LCPS’ cancellation or virtual school today? I slept in and I’m cooking a nice breakfast. Should I be fired for enjoying a day off?

Stop trolllinggggg

Not PP. what’s wrong if a teacher thinks that way? Genuinely curious

Pp here. I’m a teacher. Teachers are not sitting here goading parents with vibe checks. Every teacher I know, including myself, is glad they called a snow day, think it’s good for the kids, but I’m not poking parents who aren’t happy and personally I’m using the day to CALL parents of my students who aren’t passing since parent contact is the thing that is hardest to squeeze into a normal working day. I’m checking any missing or late submitted assignments so interim grades are as accurate as possible tomorrow. Don’t believe trolls who get on here pretending to fulfill the worst stereotypes of lazy teachers who hate parents. That’s exactly what they are : trolls.

LCPS just cancelled for tomorrow.

Please remain calm. Do not let your health be negatively impacted. You’ll survive.

We got probably 5 inches where I am. My kids were outside playing all day. It’s pure ice now but Loudoun did get snow so maybe you’re in fairfax

Nope, I'm in Loudoun too. We got a dusting. Didn't even cover the grass blades or people's unraked leaves.

Wow well you have the literal one neighborhood where that was true then. Snow all over outside my house in leesburg and the tree outside my bedroom window is encased in ice.

Same, I'm in Ashburn.

Well they can’t play in it tomorrow. It’s a block of ice now.

But I can still enjoy my hot cocoa and binge on Netflix and chill at home while you’re still getting enraged that I’m off.

Keep crying.

Is the raise starting tomorrow or in 2 weeks? The memorandum was worded bizarrely

LCPS only approved the raise for those in the highest and last step. So only for the 95k and above earners.
