Would you incourage your husband get a tattoo?

While I wouldn't encourage him to get a tattoo, I don't think it's up to me to let him. I would want him to make sure the place he got it from was reputable and practiced good hygiene. I think there may also be some concerns about the ink, and I would advise him to research it before he went. Ultimately, it's his decision. While I would probably tease him about getting a sc-fi character, I would want him to do what made him happy.

I'm a lawyer and I would definitely bat an eye at opposing counsel with a face tattoo, unless you're referring to permanent eye liner or something else that just looks like make up.

But 99% of tattoos are trashy.

Agreed.

Nope, we just think they're trashy. You can think they're cool. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on tattoos. It's not like racism where there's a right and a wrong side to be on.

I'm a doctor's kid who went to a private high school and holds a Master's Degree. My sister is a published scientist. George Schultz is one of our country's most highly regarded elder statesmen. Matt Taylor is an astrophysicist known for his work on the European Space Agency's Rosetta mission.

Guess what we all have in common?

A lack of good taste?

You all made at least one really poor choice in life?

Generally speaking, I don't have a problem with tattoos . Outside a small cultural exception, I would question the sanity of someone with a face tatoo.

The best advice I received before getting my tattoo was to wait a year and see if I wanted, coupled with is this a story I'd be proud to share with other people, grandkids for instance.

For me the answer was yes, I have a small memorial tattoo on my wrist of my dad's signature.

My biggest concern with your husband is that, he doesn't seem to sure of the tattoo himself, and it seems highly llikely he'd regret it in the future.

I am not a fan of tattoos for manifold reasons.

But I think I, too, would allow an exception for a Marvin the Martian tat.

As long as it's not on his face, neck, hands, I don't care.

His body. I couldn't "let" him if I tried.

OP. It's a Dr Who tattoo. Probably his favorite Dr. but I don't know which one that is.

Bwahaha! That's what I was going to guess! That's horrible and would be a horrible tattoo! And I love Dr Who.

A science fiction character on his arm is kinda awful but a bible verse on his rib cage is super hot.

I wanted a tattoo for years and never got one because my husband doesn’t like them. I finally did what I wanted and I love it. I got a second one. They are meaningful and symbolic to me. I do not regret them.

His body, his choice.

Who cares if others think it’s immature? People can be so negative.

Nothing about the Bible is hot
