Pretty girl’s names that start with P

Please don’t jump on the Penelope bandwagon. We have friends that had no idea it was a “Greek” name (eyeroll!!)

My name is Paula and I like it. Everyone knows how to pronounce it, it works in Spanish as Paola (I have Latin ancestry), and it's both uncommon enough but not too unknown that it often sticks with people when I introduce myself. Paloma was on my parents shortlist when they were naming me in the 80s (it had to be a P) but they nixed it then because they thought it would be too "exotic" for the gringos. I don't think that would be the case now.

I like the soft P names better, they’re more mellifluous. Like, I prefer the Phyllis/Phoebe/Phaedra names over the Paula/Petra/Padma options.

I am Linda Paloma because my parents loved Jackson Brown

I love my middle name and gave it to my daughter so I have a Paloma. She has always been the only one in her class. We are in California (formerly DC) and everyone knows how to pronounce it.
