Considering that Omeish is the only candidate who actually has experience attending a Fairfax County High School, I think it's absolutely ridiculous to overlook her.
You can't get a balanced body if it only consists of people who have never attended the schools they are to make decisions for. |
You need to learn how to research. This took me two minutes. http://priscillaforfairfax.com/ |
| Pretty sure Karen Corbett-Sanders graduated from high school in FCPS. I think she talked about this during the Justice renaming because she had attended Groveton High. |
Also, she didn't graduate from FCPS, but attended FCPS schools. http://schultzforschoolboard.com/about/ |

This is comical. |

How embarrassing. |
Clearly we can't take you seriously. |
It would be laughable even it were true, and it is not. Omeish may have gotten an FCDC endorsement by enlisting a bunch of teens to join the FCDC, but her platform is a bunch of vague commitments to do whatever she thinks advances One Fairfax. I’m told the FCDC is sufficiently embarrassed by what happened (and the fact that they ended up denying an endorsement to Ilryong Moon, their most electable at-large candidate) that they are planning to revamp their membership rules to keep someone like her with relatively little support from people actually eligible to vote from getting an endorsement again. In any event, she is a lightweight kept afloat with money from a single community. |
One of her high school interns must have posted this. |
Moon was a serious member. Too bad. |
Sorry, I should've been a bit more specific, Omeish is (of the the two, I was incorrect there) only candidates to attend a Fairfax County School, running for the Fairfax County at-large School Board. |
Being wrong is different from not being specific. You were wrong and you should just say so. And, FWIW, we already have a student on the School Board. Granted, it is not an elected office, but she represents the students. And, clearly, Omeish has no understanding of how things really work in schools. Just read her platform. |

Omeish asserted last night that the overcrowding at McLean might not have gotten so bad if only the parents had been more engaged.
I’m not sure she has any idea of the parents who were raising issues years ago and getting reassurances from Janie Strauss that FCPS would pay attention. Maybe Omeish was in middle school at the time, though. |
