Nobody cares that CFA is closed in Sunday. It’s that the owners/founders actively support anti-gay organizations and bigotry.

But they don't, as has been explained repeatedly on this thread. Continuing to insist that they do does not make it so.

Yes they do. I am referring to myriad articles from reputable sources - far more trustworthy than this thread - that document how the owner not only has spoke out against gay marriage but supported groups that believe that gays can be “converted” to straight and that oppose and lobby against gay rights.

You are lying.

So where are these "reputable" links of yours? Speaking of lying...

That's not been my experience ever. Not in the Northeast.

DP. That has been exactly my experience. I've never passed or patronized a CFA that hasn't had a long line at the drive thru. Ever.

Were they closed at the airport or another governmental entity? Because no one cares if CFA Fairfax closes on Sunday. They care when it’s under a lease administered by the government though.

From a practical standpoint, I don't see how they could afford the rent being open 6 days a week in an airport.

Here is an interesting article about CFA at MSP airport.
The bottom line? Chick-Fil-A is making more money being open only 6 days than almost all the other businesses are being open 7. The only two that make more are McDonald's and Subway.

It's facts like these that drive the liberals crazy.

http://www.startribune.com/chick-fil-a-remains-closed-on-sundays-at-msp-airport-despite-rule/322472011/

Exactly. CFA could take the airport or leave it. It's not like they need the business.

Then, why do we have a 6 page thread full of people whining because they lost a bid for one airport berth?

You seem to have missed the point. The *public* wants CFA in as many locations as possible. CFA itself won't hurt a bit if it's not "allowed" to be in certain locations.

Salvation Army also has a highly problematic history, including ties to conversion therapy groups. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Salvation_Army

For every nickel a misguided person withholds from the Salvation Army, I contribute a dollar. The liberal big city governments cannot care for the poor, illegal immigrants, and homeless that they pull into their cities currying their votes. The Salvation Army fills a need as do the many programs run by churches, including an Assrmbly of God church in Arlington which serves meals daily. These many religious organizations have members with varying beliefs about non traditional marriage, and they also believe in extending help to those who need it. Shame on the bigots who do not let people hold their religious beliefs, the founding precept of the United States.

Rant and rave, boycot and bluster. That is the right you enjoy; let others exercise their rights.

Well said. Thank you.

How in hell did we get to comparing Chik Fil A with Salvation Army? Chik Fil A is not a charity.

But if you are going to go on about Salvation Army, the fact is, all of those churches and charities still don't meet the need and still don't do nearly as much for the needy as taxpayer dollars funding safety net programs. So spare us your phony sanctimony.

Oh yes, the absurd “my religious freedom should allow me to impede other people’s human rights” argument - and if you disagree YOU are the bigot argument.

Well, my religion is against black people.
Well, my religion is against Christians
Well, my religion is against women
Well, my religion is against Jews
Well, my religion is against Catholics
Well, my religion is against people who are physically disabled

See how that works?

DP. You have issues. Deep ones.

No, when your religious beliefs make you discriminate against other human beings, it is no longer about your religious freedom.

That’s because those are dying economies and people can’t afford to eat out. The liberal taxation policies are decimating the northeast.

In the DC area, they are usually packed. I don't like their policies, but their hate chicken is absolutely delicious, and customer service is wonderful.

If a business has a good product, most people will buy it no matter what.

Agree. Even in Manhattan the lines are down the sidewalks. Hateful Libs can keep on screaming. They just can't control what hungry people want to eat.

Yeah, no. I'm one of the "hateful libs" and I have a right to my opinion and where I eat just as much as you do. I'm the pp who wrote about eating the "hate chicken." It is delicious, but "libs" aren't trying to control anything; we are trying to not give money to a company which promotes gay and lesbian hatred, so the owners of the company don't make more money to use against gay people. But their chicken is so delicious, that even "hateful libs" eat it sometime.

Also, people who use phrases like "hateful libs" sound like unhinged FoxBots, so you may want to rethink that.

How about when a person's political beliefs make him/her discriminate against other human beings? Happens all the time in political threads here.

Old son, no one is comparing Chik-Fil-A to the Salvation Army. The poster above posted links to the allegedly anti-gay positions of the Salvation Army and Chik-Fil-A. I did not say that any church or charity met the needs of the poor, immigrants, or homeless. They supplement government programs. It is unfortunate that you don’t appreciate that the government will be able to help more people because charities are supplementing government safety net programs just like liberal programs such as .... oh, there aren’t any.
