NP. My kids don't go to Einstein, but PP you're an ass. These are kids that you are criticizing and being a jerk to. Must suck to be such a spiteful person.

Less than 5% FARMs
Tight nit neighborhood school with a great park next door
recent renovation with great facilities
smaller class sizes (At least in my kids grades)
Amazing planetarium with unique curriculum
strong enrichment tracts
lots of affordable after school options and classes
long tenured teachers engaged with the community
Engaged PTA with lots events

really everything we wanted, very happy here

The parents of college students are "kids" ?

High school students are kids, yes?

But those kids finished HS and went to college, I am sure this isn't the first time the OP or their kids were poked fun at for living in the Einstein boundary and going there.

You call it "poking fun at", I call it "being a jerk on an anonymous internet message board".

Not OP but I grow sick of the narrative that if you don’t surround yourself with poor kids you’re somehow a grandwizard. The people slinging the shade tend to be people who live in those areas but not by choice. They often think that they have too many poor people and the rich areas aren’t carrying their weight. The problem is that it treats poor people as a punishment and they forget they shouldn’t be surprised when they more to a poor area and they encounter poor people. Buying them to rich schools so that some other school would have a few less is a jerk move too.

I can’t think of one situation where I was like; if only 30% -40% of people here were impoverished, that would be perfect. I get it, poor people need to live somewhere and send their kids to school. That is why the silver springs and Woodbridge’s of the world were setup. Those are perfectly lovely areas. Do the maids and landscapers have Human right to live in the Hamptons too? Being poor sucks, that is Capitalism’s way of encouraging you to be productive.

I didn't think that there were any MCPS schools with less than 5% FARMs honestly. We live in a very low FARMs area but it is still more than 5%.

My brother isn’t an Einstein grad (he came out of PGCPS), but he did two years at MC. Then he transferred to UMd. He graduated two years later with the EXACT degree as my former BIL who graduated from Churchill.

I’m uncertain about exact stats, but there’s a lot of hidden poverty in the W schools, particularly among families you would never suspect.

That’s a Woodacres poster who is going to be sorely disappointed when she gets to Pyle.

I'm the parent of the 3 Einstein IB grads. We moved here (Kensington) specifically for the IB program. What is there to make fun of? I think there must be either a lot very troubled folks out there, or very bored, and in either case they like to troll boards meant for families and communities.

All 3 kids went to/are at UMD-College Park. So everything worked out as planned. (Oldest now at Georgetown for Foreign Service.)

Because most people on this board think that unless your child goes to a W or Poolesville, then your child is doomed and destined to work at a McDonald's for the rest of their lives.
