Which Dem can win general election in 2020?

I’d like to see Hillary and Maxine run together

If the Dems take back the House, then things go South for Trump and his team...it is not a completely crazy scenario

Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi would been fine if they were younger. I have a feeling the two PP suggesting their names are conservative trolls.

If they run and win primary (I will not vote for them in primary), I will assure you that I would vote for them happily because of their position with policies.

He’s running for mayor of Kansas City right now.

Oh, tgat’s Right. I had read that the other day.

So, probably 10 more years for him. Too bad he didn’t win his Senate election in16.

She is, yet she is 10 years too late for the role. Its time for younger leaders to step up their game, so that millennial can identify with them.

No way. Look at how many people voted for trump simply because they hated Hillary. we can’t risk this again. And I say this as someone who thinks Hillary would be a great president.

I assume the ppp was joking as a popular vote is not equates to presidency

I do not think DNC did any poor job. There are at least 10 or more qualified person I can think of. It is just that some people cannot see past Biden/Sanders. I believe Duckworth, Gillibrand, Ted Lieu, Warren, Booker, Kamala Harris, O'Malley, Cuomo, Blasio, Chris Murphey, Schiff, Tim Kaine, Eric Salwell Michelle Obama or Klobuchar would be a fine President.

With a couple of exceptions, this is a pretty sorry bunch of potential candidates - most are not electable.

The only ones I like and would be willing to vote for are shown in bold. I'd also vote for Mark Warner. I am not sure any of them- with the possible exception of Biden - could defeat Trump assuming the economy is doing well.

I would love to put Mark Warner ---an actually successful businessman---up against the conman in chief.

Michele Obama? What are her qualifications, being a first lady she got to watch her husband try to run the country? Why are you leaving Oprah out? She has more popular support than all of those weak candidates combined.

I think Michelle Obama is electable. Two factors must go into anyone we nominate: qualification and electability - and the latter is more important than the former.

Fair point! But what I'd say is that most candidates who run for president are people who grow into the job - some do it sooner than others and some never succeed in doing so. Trump was not by conventional definition ready for the presidency. Neither was Obama - though I voted for him. Reagan, Clinton, Carter and GWB had executive experience as governors of states - the former two were able to grow into the job. The latter two were never really able to do so.

The presidency is a unique institution for which there is no real training ground ......... Michelle Obama is an intelligent woman who I believe can grow into the job and she is, IMO, electable.
