You are vile. |
You can’t get over the fact that someone’s who lacks intelligence, empathy and judgement should be canned from a board seat? Are you from her loins maybe or do you just share the same IQ or both? |
Great lady. Now you know she’s there to save MCPS money. As soon as she costs them some she’s gone hopefully. |

Really surprised no one posted this.
Judy Docca withdrew from running for BOE President at the Dec. 5 meeting. One community member spoke in public comments how it was disappointing people with "outside influences" (is that DCUM??) put this pressure on the decision. Honestly, she calls herself "very old." I cannot support her in the future (not that I ever voted for her in the past). http://www.bethesdamagazine.com/Bethesda-Beat/2017/Docca-Withdrew-from-Running-for-School-Board-President-Amid-Fallout-from-Comment/ |
| DCUM for the win with its "outside influences." |
| Wow. That’s disgusting and appalling. Glad she’ll be gone. |
Advocate who called out Docca was named in article. Lyda Astrove, a disability and special education advocate, on Wednesday called Docca’s apology “wholly unsatisfactory” because it was directed to MCPS staff members and her colleagues. |
Astrove lives in Mont. County. I don't consider her to be an "outsider" or however that speaker wanted to express it. If you read about it, there were others who complained from MCCPTA. Many people on this thread said they emailed BOE/Docca. Docca's comments were inappropriate. She has an Ed.D and 38 years in public education, including being a principal. The best she can come up with is a combination of "I'm old" and an apology directed to staff and her colleagues - NOT directed to families. She needs to really think about her choice of words and learn from this experience. |
She is running unopposed. She will get to keep her seat for another 4 years. Parents do not care about her choice of words or how she treats students. |
| I'm a waitress. I'd be fired if I used the word. I'd definitely be fired if I used the word and somebody complained. I need to get a new job (not that I need to use the word). Is she still there because she is an elected official? |
She's running unopposed, as far as I know. Run against her!! We need community members in these seats, not idiotic bureaucrats. |
Yes, the way to fire an elected official is to vote for somebody else. But evidently nobody is interested in being that somebody else. |
Judy Docca represents BOE District 1. If you live in that district, you're eligible to run for the District 1 BOE seat. This link identifies the voting precincts for each BOE district: http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/Elections/Resources/Files/pdfs/PrecinctDescriptions/2014PrecinctsinBdofEdRev12102013.pdf Up for election this year are BOE seats for Districts 1, 3 and 5, as well as one of the At Large seats. |

This tool is easier to help determine your BOE district. (I had no idea from the link given above.) Enter your address. Click on "My Voting Districts" and then look for "School." https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/PollingPlaceSearch I'm district 2, BTW. |
