Board of Education Member Judy Docca Uses the "R Word" at a BOE Meeting

She made a grave mistake. It happens. But what concerns me most is that since July, she has not acknowledged or apologized for using the word nor have any of her colleagues stepped up to say that it was wrong. Unbelievable. Also, where's the press on this?

You are absolutely foolish to think that only those organized by MCPC are upset by Dr. Docca's words. No involvement in MCPC, but my school's PTA and MCCPTA. Many of us are outraged.

So to whomever it is who keeps pushing the "shut up or run" sentiments, that's not how all this works. People are allowed to critique the actions of their elected leadership even when they don't want to run for office. That being said, I'd be surprised if Dr. Docca doesn't have a competitive challenger in her next election and she's far too tarnished now to get the teacher's endorsement.

Mentally she seems to operate like a 6 year old. There's got to be a challenger somewhere. If not our entire county is a bigger embarrassment than I thought.
