It is truly astonishing that this is the one sick child Republicans have taken an interest in. Last time I remember any of them caring about anyone's life was when Terri Schiavo's husband wanted to take her off life support and they insisted that g_d would have wanted her to remain, forever, in a persistent vegitative state.

You know, that's how insurance works. Everyone pays in to cover the expenses of those who need it. Not, the people who need it are the ones who pay for it. If that's what you want, then you actually prefer self pay. And the poor house for very sick people.

Yup, strangely they only appear to care about the cases in which medical treatment would be futile, and of course, the patient is white.
