I am very grateful to you Jeff for the education you are giving some of these folks. Not that they will really listen.
It's so sad that conservatives with their "right to life" can turn around and describe people as worthless. I wish Washington Post, who I know checks out these boards, would do a story about THIS thread. |
Jeff isn't "educating" anyone here -- he is stating his opinion; many of us have different opinions. I still don't agree with anything he's said and don't feel that he's taught me anything new. What's really sad is that you can paint "conservatives" with such a broad brush. Just as their are some who think others are 'worthless,' there are many of us (indeed, I'd argue -most- of us) who have entirely different grounds to objecting to this new health care plan. (And just as there are some who believe strongly in the "right to life campaign," there are others -- myself among them -- who think the government would do well to stay out of all of our personal affairs, including that issue.) I could easily turn it around here and say, based on your idiotic post, I think all of you Dems are idiots, but then I'd be attacking some very smart Dems I know and and whose opinions I value, as opposed to most of the liberal idiots who post here. |
How do you know the person who posted that comment was a conservative? This is an anonymous board. It could have easily been posted by a democrat seeking to make a conservative look bad or to start a fight. |
Majority of people are healthy. Majority of healthy people are insured and pay hefty premiums. But big part of those who comprise middleclass, are healthy and have insurance run a big risk of loosing it all if they get seriously sick and insurance kicks them. This IS the problem. You're just one sickness or accident away from becoming worthless. So don't be so smug - it could be you next time. |
