Thoughts on the MCPS 2017-2018 calendar?

A full day off. Increase the school year a day for every day off. 1/2 days are worthless and except for the last day of school, I cannot find any value for it. There is no meaningful instruction.

That's the whole problem--they WERE full days off for students, but the Governor won't have it. He doesn't care what's productive or meaningful students anyway.
