I'm not a couponer but I can't even with this crazy comparison you've come up with. These cases are not the same ilk and why is everyone assuming op is an extreme couponer/hoarder? I don't understand at all but I have noticed more and more people have issues with anyone who is fiscally conservative. I remember decades ago one daytime talk show host had a woman on who raised her family by mostly buying recycled items (not food). She was very proud of the money they saved. She was not invited to the show to discuss her shopping strategies but to address the hostility she received because of her life style. Her family did not live in a hovel, everyone had food and clothes that looked fine. Most of their clothes and the kids toys were used. She was invited to be on the show because people reacted to her almost violently and accused her of abusing her children because of this. This is our society is now. |
Not op. According to whom? Where on earth is this idea that using coupons is abusing things. Op, more power to you. |
This board is so crazy. There is so much resentment towards posters who have plenty of disposable income but also lots of resentment towards anyone who posts about not wanting to spend money on specific items or people who want to save money. |
