I love the video of that performance. It was the Kennedy Honors iirc. Led Zeppelin starts off looking like "yeah alright here we go, another tribute." and by the end they look just as blown away by Heart as the rest of us.

So many great covers by Willie Nelson. He does for Chris Martin what Johnny Cash did for NIN.

Yes! That’s the one I love too. Robert Plant in tears says it all.

You just blew my mind! I had no idea this wasn't Cyndi Lauper's original song!

Does anyone think Weezer's cover of Toto's Africa is different enough to have justified the cover?

I love their Teal album. They didn’t re-invent the wheel and stayed true to the song. Though the fact that their video to this song included Weird Al dressed as Cuomo from Buddy Holly and he lip synced while doing parody to the Sweater Song was good enough for me.

There is! All time low covered it on one of the “punk goes pop” albums, I think.

My favorite cover is the ataris’ version of “boys of summer”

Thanks! You made my night!

And my kids LOVE it. Thanks again! Best info from dcum in ages.
