Any update on the school's real estate? |
The vultures need to stop circulating. They have only started the proceeding to revoke the charter, they may well come back from the brink. It's happened before with other schools. |
True. But most charter schools aren't RICO conspiracies. |
Yes but a handful are (and most of those EOTR). |
There was a meeting last night at the campus near Dunbar and the schools could close before the end of the school year. How disruptive this would be to the students and other schools who would have to take them. |
So then why are they still on Myschool as a lottery option? |
Who was at this meeting? and who said that? |
Because the Board has not yet shut them down. It has only initiated proceedings. |
|
The Board will not shut them down but will give the facilities, along with currently enrolled kids to another operator. There is far too much many at stake for the charters voluntarily cede numbers like these. |
I haven't watched it, but you can watch the meeting here: http://www.dcpcsb.org/report/boardmeetings |
It was on NBC 4 news this am. |
So what happened to Amos -- and which school do you think the auditors will target next?
To listen to Scott Pearson tell it, he's ready to start demanding financial transparency, which'll be the death of several of the EOTP charters. What then? |
If financial transparency means the death of certain charters, that is a good thing. |
