You do realize that your anonymous comments here, and the constant recycling of cross-posted comments, display elements of both cowardice and bullying, right? Even if your spouse suffered under Lemmon, you are both setting a terrible example and deserve no respect, whether in or out of a classroom. |
You sound ridiculous, Ms. Lemmon. This is a message board-exactly where anonymous comments should go. What do you recommend? That Anon interrupt court proceedings to share her concerns? |
There goes the name calling again.... |

PS: No one over the age of 18 should have the word 'bully' in their vocabulary.
Grow up! |
I would say that it's more important that no one over the age of 18 should act like a bully. Quite a few DCUM posters fail to heed that notion. |
Abuse of power on those who are vulnerable is always at the minimum bullying if not criminal. |
If you're implying that an adult is not capable of being a bully or being bullied, you are quite delusional. |
Not the PP. Do you realize that you sound like the bully with your name calling? By accusing the pp of cowardice and bullying, it sounds like you are trying to silence the pp and stop pp from expressing her opinion be trying to shame her. The completely takes away from any point you were trying to make with your post. |
The potential reputational and emotional injury that one anonymous poster may suffer at the hands of another anonymous poster on an internet forum is easily distinguishable from the character assassination of school personnel, identified by name, that takes place regularly on DCUM. From what I've gathered, Jeff allows such criticisms of school principals, but not individual teachers. I'm not sure I see a major difference, and I have little doubt that PP would be greatly offended if a parent or student decided to wage a public campaign against his or her spouse (a teacher) on DCUM. None of them are elected officials or public figures who have sought the limelight. |
I don't know what Jeff allows, but this discussion is in the context of a lawsuit where apparently the allegations are available publicly. That's different than a thread about someone with no lawsuit. |
That cuts both ways. The lawsuit is a matter of public record, but the notion that the filing of a complaint constitutes a general license to slander or defame someone you have chosen to sue is ludicrous on its face. And, of course, there is also a risk that discussions on social media of the issues involved in the lawsuit or the merits (or lack thereof) of the complaint would themselves become subject to pre-trial discovery. |

Libel - A published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.
Defamation - A false accusation of an offense or a malicious misrepresentation of someone's words or actions. Now who's trying to bully people into staying quiet. I hope your not working for FCPS or Lemmon...javascript:void(0); |
I'm not, but I can imagine how embarassing it might be to be on "Team Rachel" and then ending up having to testify under oath as to whether you had ever suggested on sites like this that Ms. Lemmon had filled out surveys intended for teachers or otherwise manipulated the survey results. |
You sound ridiculous. A person can suggest whatever the hell they want on a site or in the comments section of a newspaper. Sheesh. |
|
Its more like Team...Holy S..t, this is the craziest thing I ever heard and cant believe people are defending it...
One question though, what mess? What mess is Baileys in? |
