Are Casseroles a Thing of the Past?

Is there an ingredient listed you know you dislike? If so then it's understandable it would sound terrible to you. If not, then give it a try and I bet you will like it.

No, I like cream of mushroom soup (in casseroles) and I like American cheese but it was the combination of those two things with ground beef and tater tots that I think is gross.

NP. I grew up on Cream of Mushroom soup and I swear it tastes different (and worse) than it used to. Plus, tater toys are the only gross potato product I can think of. I love every manner of disgusting-by-DCUM-standards foods, but tater tot hot dish haunted my childhood and it sounds disgusting now.

I will pretty much eat any other hot dish though.

I love the traditional green bean casserole at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Made with cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions. Mmm. I could eat the entire dish myself. But that tater tot recipe sounds pretty awful. Yuck.

Interesting because there are many recipes that combine cheese and mushrooms. And meat and potatoes are another classic combination.
