Hey, me too. |
Hey, then get a better job. |
But I got a good job. |
Not if you lack funds. |
You may not be able to. You could be in poor health. You could have an accident. You could be fired or downsized, and not be able to find another job. Don't count on working as long as you think. |
Working must not be stressful or tiring for you. It is for me. Also, statistics show that people are too optimistic about how their health will be as they age, and many retire sooner than anticipated. Better be safe than sorry and save up your retirement nut early in life. |
Working is stressful for me, that's why I like to enjoy life outside work and not live poorly. |
My quality of life is not correlated to how much money I spend. |
Don't you like to go to a nice dinner with your spouse? Enjoy a nice bottle of wine.... Go to get a massage, get your hair done. These things are nice. What I love doing is spending money on my house, my house is my haven, I love how it looks. I'm home a lot so I want to think my home is beautiful. |
Sure, those things are all nice. But they don't make you or anyone happy. I get as more pleasure from cheap takeout pizza shared with family... giving and receiving massages with DH... hiking in the woods (more beautiful than your home, no matter how you decorate)... There is a reason why salary increases over $75k only bring about marginal increases in happiness. Because once you can afford food, healthcare and a safe home, there isn't much more money can do for you. If I can be happy spending less money, why wouldn't I? That was I can save my money for an emergency and share with others. |
There are people who do not work for max $, and there are plenty of people who could not find a good job, you moron. |
I do have a premium lot and back on to conservation. The first is IN my yard. Your DH is not a professional masseuse. |
| I mean, the FOREST is in my yard. |
Same here. I think people who let stuff take over their lives are on a slippery slope. There's always one more thing to buy. |
Guilty feelings after spending money? Low self esteem I guess. |
