cheap takeout pizza shared with family...
giving and receiving massages with DH...
hiking in the woods (more beautiful than your home, no matter how you decorate)...

There is a reason why salary increases over $75k only bring about marginal increases in happiness. Because once you can afford food, healthcare and a safe home, there isn't much more money can do for you. If I can be happy spending less money, why wouldn't I? That was I can save my money for an emergency and share with others.

Same here. I think people who let stuff take over their lives are on a slippery slope. There's always one more thing to buy.
