Kelly Clarkson needs to fire her stylist

+1. I love Kelly so much. Seriously she's the most talented singer of the last 20 years, but somehow her outfits never do her any favors. It's like she tries to find clothes that will make her look so much heavier and older than she really is.

She probably doesn't want a stylist. She can clearly afford it, but she doesn't want it (for whatever reason).

I seriously can't imagine a stylist picking her outfits. She probably has a handful of favorite brands, they send her a bunch of stuff, and she chooses from the rack.

She sort of dresses like her Southern white working class female audience....maybe she's actually being strategic about these outfits? Trying to endear herself to her audience? She can obviously afford the best designers, stylists, and custom tailoring for her body, but she doesn't go down that route. It's a bit puzzling.

I have a belly like that. I'm a mom, I'm a healthy weight, I think I look good.

Unlike AAAAAALLLLLLLLL of you, Kelly Clarkson is unbelievably talented, works her butt off, is super successful, and rich. I think you like to pick at other women's bodies, especially women who are successful and happy, because it makes you feel better about your own boring, lame lives. Many probably even have bodies similar to Clarkson's.

We don’t have to dress to look thin or even to have clothes be flattering. We can wear what we want and what we feel good in. Good for her. she will either see this and not give a flying f*** or she will decide that shape or color or whatever isn’t her favorite. It’s all good.

Even Jennifer Aniston has a small belly like that and she’s never had a kid and works out like crazy.

-She’s a celebrity and doesn’t dress as glamorously as expected?
-She’s purposely dressing in a manner in which she normally wouldn’t? ie, making a strategic choice to dress the way she does?

What’s the context of her comment?

I agree with others that her fashion choices are strange and unflattering.

She can sing most any type of song well. I barely knew who she was before her talk show. It seems she means well... But, she could try listening a little more and talking about her experiences a little less. I think a good stylist could really help her pick more flattering styles.

People really can’t stand when a woman bucks the system. Why do you care what she wears? She’s talented and funny. People relate to her and she’s super successful dressing the way she does.
