Have you ever keyed a stranger's car?

Why would you permanently damage someone's car? Even smearing the mirrors is bad, but better than keying a car. Have you ever thought that a senior citizen with limited vision might have parked there, or someone who meant no harm, but had an emergency on their hands and was doing the best they could?

It seems that people have their own inconvenience in mind, and feel that they were slighted. Then respond with extreme, horrible measures.

This sucks.

It's a symptom of this whole culture of entitlement, where everyone has to be so offended by everything and strike back to show who's boss. Ugh. No civility at all.

Agreed. It's destruction of property, and it's a crime.

This is a photo I took recently at the Safeway in Georgetown.

This person is parked like a total ass. I took the photo, sent it to my husband and brothers, and we all laughed at how unbelievably douchetastic this guy was (assuming it was a guy, but may have been a woman). Did I consider keying this ridiculously parked car? No, because I'm not an amoral CRAZY person! And even if someone parked horribly in a way that actually made it hard for me to get in my car, it still would never even occur to me to do something so lacking in maturity, self control, and ability to respond appropriately to life's challenges. OP, is this the way you react to other things that don't go exactly the way you want them to?

That's quite a parking job. I assume they did it blind-folded while a crazed ferret clawed at their genitals.

Nah. They are one of those douches that think their car is hot shit and so must not be near another car in case that other car in any way touches touches the douche's car, so douch double parks on purpose. That just makes me want to key the car ...but, unlike OP, I'm not a psycho.

sometimes I have been tempted, but it is really antisocial.

I have to say, I have been surprised at how long my present new car has gone without a ding. People are more careful?

Also the cars who you most would love to key are usually the very expensive ones. I would love to explain to a judge why I keyed someone's 70K car and what I thought I was doing?

Yes you are. I hope you get arrested and charged with criminal damage the next time you do this. What a crazy person.

OP, I'm waiting for you to key my car. Because people like you have no coping mechanisms. And I happen to have a camera in my car. Just waiting. In fact, I park on the street even though I have a driveway just to see what crazy people like you are up to.

Go ahead. Make my day. Your ticket will be mailed to you. If you are not arrested, that is.

You have a camera in your car that runs 24/7?

NP, here. I would like to have a camera that runs 24/7 installed discreetly in my car and on my property. Does anyone know where I could have this done in DC?MD VA?

An asshole caused hundreds of dollars worth of damage by keying my car on both sides. SO NOT WORTH his hurt feelings. Get over it people.
