| I like the IB Program at Cooke. I like the integrated approach to it; the fact that when they're learning about markets their math reflects it, as do their specials (drawing pictures of shopping carts in art class, doing math with adding & subtracting apples, etc.) It seems like a great way to teach kids rather than everything being in an unrelated vacuum. I like the fact that my kids did significant research into other countries at a young age and understand the concept of different cultures. I also like the learner profiles they'r internalizing. The fact that "risk taking" positive attribute means it's easier to get them to try new foods. "You're not being caring" resonates a lot more with them than saying "you're not helping mommy." So I like it, and I think it's an effective way to teach. |
