Does anyone else think that Kate Middleton's wedding dress was a little dull?

I agree with this, actually. I thought both dresses were absolutely stunning, except for the oddly shaped bodices. I assume the shape/design was intentional -- but why?


That's actually the most modern thing about her two dresses because they were corset-like bodices.

I find that hat disturbing.
NP here. The dress was beautiful and she is a beautiful girl. I, too, would kill to have her looks. And everything she does is classy. I was never Di obsessed but I admit I think I'll enjoy following her a bit.
Also loved the Aston Martin moment. So cute!
I hope they have a very long and happy marriage.

I felt bad for the queen - her black sheep granddaughter totally screwed up her camera shot.

Sadly, this would have been a lovely outfit without the growth on her forehead. But, oh that ridiculous hat...

I'd like to think that the two sisters intended to bring some much-needed levity to their cousin's stuffy affair. Maybe they were reminding him of some sort of inside joke? I've seen plenty of pictures of them at other events in more understated outfits, so I can't help thinking that today's getups were somehow significant in their goofiness.

Or maybe they were offended that their mom wasn't invited?
