Lol the irony of defending or actively calling a broad group of people racist indiscriminately will always be funny to me Self awareness is a tough life skill for some people to understand |
Are you suggesting people of color can't be racist? If you associate with racists, even through sharing a side with them, then it becomes incumbent upon you to call of their bad behavior if you don't want the same things applied to you. |
DP By that definition every single person who has an opinion on boundaries or regional programs and shared that opinion is racist because the Superintendent's recommendations are absolutely racist. Montoya and her colleagues have some serious self reflection to do given how self righteous they were about their brave votes to allocate zero resources to address the horrifically bad proficiency rates among BIPOC students. |
Again, what behavior are you referring to? Did the audience at the being shout out I hate black and brown kids? Were there known racists in the crowd? I genuinely don’t know what you are talking about. Who did I associate with that was a known racist? |

Let me spell this out for the people who lack brain cells and self awareness
People defending Montoya: she called the group racist because they are, even though they didn’t do anything racist. If you happen to be someone who actually isn’t racist, it’s your fault that you showed up because showing up made you a member to this group. We believe collective punishment for all individuals in a group. Dictionary definition of racism: Racism is the prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people based on their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group Are we for or against collective punishment and association? Do we automatically assign broad blame to a group or should we recognize individuals for individual actions? Sorry I keep forgetting because the cognitive dissonance here is… interesting |
The people who are defending Montoya keep saying there was racism but will not point to a single specific individual or action in the meeting that was racist. Again, if Montoya said: hey to those cheering, if you are cheering because you don’t want to go to school with black and brown kids, you are racist and f*** you, I would cheered for her. That’s NOT what happened. People disagreed with her. Her immediate reaction to hearing people cheer to Julie’s no vote is “that’s racism” |
|
To montoya apologists: it’s ok to admit she did something wrong.
You don’t have to die on this hill. We can agree or disagree on policies, outcomes, etc. We don’t have to defend poor conduct. |
It’s not Montoya apologists. It’s like one Montoya troll who keeps defending her, like their life depends on it. Clearly a troll so unlike the other PP, I don’t have patience for this troll. Either they are too stupid to see the issue or too stubborn to admit it even though deep down, they know Montoya is in the wrong. The only thing I will say to this apologist: I disagree with you. I think you are either stupid or stubborn on this issue. But I don’t think you are racist simply because you disagree with me. See—it’s not that hard is it |
Even if you don’t think I’m racist for disagreeing with you, I think you are racist for disagreeing with me. Just look at all the people who disagree with me. They are all racist. You are therefore either racist yourself or racist for associating with them. Either way, you are racist! -what the Montoya troll is thinking 🤣 |
Really struck a nerve in you there... Keep better company. |
BIPOC students would likely be best served by the school district expending resources on core curriculum that is externally developed and evaluated, per Maryland State Dept of Education rules, instead of the patchwork of curriculum that we have now across the board. Take a look at that refrigerator curriculum and you tell me if BIPOC students would be better served by quality curriculum or by the dozens and dozens of regional high school programs for which teachers will not have time to be trained and for which we will use homemade curriculum. We have wasted a year of resources and time on regional high school programs. But hey, according to Montoya and her colleagues, these regional programs will be equitable. |
+1,000,000 |
| None of them are fit for office as they rubber stamp everything Central office decides. Yang only stood up because of reelection. |
The bigger issue with the regional program is distance and transportation. Even if they provide a bus, often with activities and sports, the bus doesn't work and parents don't have transportation or cannot get the kids after school/evenings. Same reason why some of us turned down spots in the DCC. DCC to Whitman is not an easy commute. |
| She is unfit for office and she needs to resign |
