+1. Was going to say, why call it “No Kings?” I get the meaning but I REALLY care about stopping waste of taxes on this war.

Plus that small detail of the loss of lives.

The majority of Boomer women, including Boomer white woman, did not support Trump in 2024. We tried and we will try again in the mid terms and in 2028. Save your whining for the fools that put Trump in office.

I'm planning to attend the "no Kings" protest, but I'd also attend a "no war" protest.

How does one go about arranging a protest? I'm kind of hoping that by attending the "No Kings" protest I'll figure out how to set up a "No War" protest-- if no one else has done it yet. I'm just one person, but I guess it just takes one to get the ball rolling.

I don’t know how to arrange a large-scale protest, but I’m sure that you don’t need to figure it out from scratch. Have you connected with organizations like Indivisible?

Seems to me that if we take down those that are acting like kings, we will also stop the Iran war. Executive branch is acting like a monarchy right now with that war-- hasn't sought Congressional approval, etc.

I see the "No Kings" message as pro-democracy-- hopefully it will inspire Congress to do its Constitutional job and rein in the executive branch.

Exactly. People can make the leap. Or, be daring enough to show up with a "[insert snappy anti-war slogan]" sign.

DJT authoritanianess is why we are in this stupid war with Iran.

No Kings = No Asinine Wars

For multiple reasons, I probably won’t be attending the No Kings 3 March downtown. I do want to emphasize that there will also be smaller protests in the area — some scheduled to be overlapping with the largest protests, and some scheduled so that people can attend an earlier, smaller protest— then also attend the larger one if they wish to do so. The No Kings site lists some of them. Others are likely to be neighborhood-centric, and more spontaneous.

White women stupidly elected a conman felon.

White people need to clean up their mess.

Black women can rightfully put their feet up.

What’s up with people announcing what age group they’re in by way of the name given. Why not just say I’m 55 if you think age is relevant.

No, Black women cannot put their feet up. They live in this country. Everyone needs to step up. The White women mostly in northern states who voted for Harris are stepping up.

No, you cannot talk to people like that. There is a problem with the No King rallies attracting a certain segment only. Why? Figure it out. If you don’t want to figure it out then go ahead and scream into the wind at a rally that accomplishes nothing.

Ok. Putting feet up is definitely the answer. That's going to get so much done.

It would have the same outcome.

It helps energize the vote. At this point, the idea of trudging down to the polls to vote for a republican is absolutely depressing. The task is to energize people to vote for Democrats which is possible and this will assist.

There in lies the problem.

The Demcoratic party has done nothing to differentiate themselves from the Republican Party. Look at our leadership. You all are grasping at straws. It’s so pitiful and pathetic.

Actually, it has. Those of us who pay more attention to policies and accomplishments than rallies and t-shirts know this very well.

Neither of my parents attended college, but they clearly understood which party delivered SS, Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA and which party didn't offer squat save tax cuts for the already rich.

I’m planing to attend the No Kings protest with an anti-war/anti-imperialism sign. No need to reinvent the wheel. Lots of messages at these demonstrations.

why is the "no kings" protest exclusive of a "no war" protest? Seriously.

If you really want to waste energy on organizing a "no war" protest as opposed to building "no war" capacity within Indivisible, then post on FB or your preferred social media that you are protesting outside of (1) your local federal building or (2) the closest GOP elected's office. Give a time and an address. Bring posterboard and markers and have at it. There were Friday afternoon protests outside the federal building in my hometown from the start of Reagan through the election of Clinton. I left my midwestern hometown in the mid-80s, but if I arrived on a Friday morning, I knew that I might run into folks I knew by showing up at the federal building @ 4 pm.

Hit a nerve, did it? I’m not MAGA. I’m a realist. These AARP marches are just virtue signaling for liberal women with one foot in the nursing home.

Black women still don’t like you, in case you didn’t know.

You'll be lucky if you get to be that old and that wise.
