Toxic green moving and slowly-dispersing gas clouds deployed in Minnesota

Didn't we just have a whole monster thread about agents need to deescalate and not resort to shooting?

This is a war crime, moron. There is no justification for gassing civilians.

So run wild in the streets and get gassed. Nobody is making you be where law enforcement is active. You wanna run around blowing whistles, your choice. Don't want to be gassed, stay away.

No concern for children who live/walk nearby and inhaling gas that contains lead?

Bueller?

Our constitution guarantees freedom of assembly. You should read it some time.

For those constitutionally challenged, here is the entire text of the First Amendment.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The founding fathers thought these freedoms were so important, they made them FIRST.

There needs to be a war to have a war crime.

First Amendment. They were so important that they weren't even part of the originally ratified Constitution.

The President declared a war.

Nice try. Law enforcement is authorized to use tear gas as long as they announce two warnings to a crowd before they deploy it. The Chemical Weapons Convention does not prohibit its use by law enforcement.

The label doesn’t change the immorality of the action. Gassing, destruction of property, and shooting civilians is even worse if there’s no war.

Tear gas and poisonous gasses are banned in international warfare but permitted for domestic riot control, which tells you all you need to know about how much governments value human life. Soldiers have more protection than unarmed, defenseless civilians.

Find a way to change the rules if you want to riot without tear gas.

To assemble peaceably.

This is not about peaceful protest, but civil disobedience. You can expect pushback from police, including arrests and beatings. It is part of civil disobedience. You must embrace the attacks. It is what Gandhi taught.
